History:
Here is my modeling portfolio. I've done work with several photographers in North Carolina, and have also done
a little television work for the independent station in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. At the bottom of the page,
you can download a sample of me singing.

Making a living: I design Web sites. I designed this one. Fun! I finally get to do one MY way. I also create multimedia.

More:
I'm married and have four (count 'em - four) grown sons. I'm an American living in Sydney, Australia and work as a Web developer by day. By night I become a 50's glamour queen. I'm also addicted to lipgloss and lingerie.

My special pet project:
donations to Homeless Persons programs.

I have a son who suffers from bipolar disease. Because of this, he has been unable to keep a job. He also suffers from paranoia and takes his aggression out on other people, which has led to his being homeless on and off for the past several years. There have been months where I haven't known where he is.

Fortunately, right now he is getting help from family (thanks Mom!) to get into subsidized housing. Fingers crossed, this time he will stick with it and get settled in so that he won't have to be homeless again and will get the help and treatments that he needs in order to have a somewhat normal life.

Sounds great, doesn't it? Except that people like my son can't afford expensive medications and the counselling that they need. This is where we all come in. There are wonderful organizations out there like the Salvation Army and other local missions, that provide drug and alcohol abuse rehabilitation, counselling, job training and placement, mental health assessment and treatment, temporary and long term accommodation, as well as pastoral care for men, women, and children in crisis situations. I am sure that there is an organization near you that depends on donations from the public to help get these people off the streets. To most of us, they are just faces with no names - often dirty, unfriendly, sullen, and rude. But they are people - and often there are family and friends who care about them but don't know how to help them. Sometimes they are teens or whole families who are just down on their luck. They depend on people like you and me to help them out. If you've ever been in a hole like that, you know how difficult it is to climb out on your own.

That's why I'm asking you to donate to these programs. They depend on those of us who care. Don't just think about it - do it. And tell them that Melanie said you should.
